The damage caused to the structure by the fire
Firefighters rushed to a play area after a wooden piece of play equipment was deliberately set on fire.
Crews were called to the children's play area in East Street, Coggeshall at around 10.15pm yesterday.
When they arrived the wooden structure was well alight and they used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.
An investigation found it was set on fire deliberately and the incident has been reported to the police.
