VIOLENT thugs broke into a home and physically assaulted the occupants with what was described as a metal pole.
Police are looking to speak to anyone who could have seen a burglary take place in Dovercourt on Monday, July 9.
At about 10.25pm two men broke into a property in Wick Lane.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "After entering the property, the men conducted a search.
"They then threatened the occupants, before physically assaulting them with what has been described as a metal pole, causing minor injuries."
One man has been described by the victim as being mixed race, around 5ft 7ins tall and of a skinny build.
He had his face covered and wore a dark grey hooded jacket with the hood up.
The second man was wearing dark clothing and also had his face covered.
He is described as being shorter than the first man, standing at around 5ft 5ins tall.
Nothing was taken during the incident.
