A BANNED driver has admitted leading police on a two-mile rush hour police chase where he rammed six cars before finally smashing into a post box.
Ben Moisey, 32, was arrested after a red Ford Transit van crashed in Lexden Road, Colchester, at just after 8am on Friday, June 8.
Police had been called after he had become abusive at the Best Western Hotel in Marks Tey.
Officers then began to follow him before Moisey rammed into one of them.
He crashed into several other cars along the way.
He admitted dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, criminal damage and two charges of assault by beating during a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday.
Moisey, of Ilex Close, Colchester, has been remanded in custody before sentencing in August.
