A PENSIONER had his driving licence revoked during a roads policing operation.
Officers in Colchester were based on the A12 and Cowdray Avenue on Wednesday and stopped the man in his 80s who failed a roadside eye test meaning his licence could be taken away.
Police also found two disqualified drivers, 55 people not wearing a seatbelt, 15 people using their mobile phones and 18 vehicles without a valid MOT.
Three vehicles were seized during the operation which saw three other people arrested for a variety of offences including drug driving, fraud by false representation, possession of Class A and Class B drugs and obstructing a police officer.
