ENTRIES are still open for this year's Midnight Walk for St Helena Hospice.

Now in its 10th year, support for the walk has continued to grow.

This year both men and women are invited, and participants can take part in either a three-and-a-half mile or seven mile walk around Colchester.

Both routes stop at Colchester Rugby and Football Club where a memory tree is placed, allowing walkers a moment of reflection and remembrance. Tags are also available for walkers to leave a message on the tree.

The walk is on Saturday, June 23 and starts and finishes at Stanfords, The Livestock Market in Wyncolls Road.

Anyone over the age of 11 can take part, and the route is wheelchair friendly.

This year’s theme is hats and hair-dos, and a 10th anniversary Midnight Walk t-shirt is available to buy online at colchestermidnightwalk.co.uk or by calling 01206 931468.

Registration for on the day participants will be between 3pm and 6pm.

Registration for those already signed up will start at 8pm.

Entertainment begins at 8.15pm with singing from Funky Voices, and there will be a magic mirror photo booth.

Starbucks Colchester will be on site selling hot and cold beverages and snacks. Walkers will also have the chance to participate in the ‘decorate your recycled cup’ competition.

The walk will begin at 10.30pm.

Online registrations will be taken until June 21 at noon.
