A MAN is warning others to lock up their valuables after his £10k quadbike was stolen.
Joe Sibley, from Frinton, went to work at about 8am as usual on Tuesday morning.
He passed his quadbike, which he blocks in with his trailer and car in Third Avenue.
When he came back from work in the evening, the bike was gone.
He called the police, but they case has been closed due to a lack of evidence.
Joe said he will offer a reward if the bike is returned to him.
He said: "In all honesty people have seen a white van driving up and down the Avenues, taking things from people's front gardens for scrap metal.
"I think it could have been them, I'm at a loss now.
"It cost me £10,000 and I bought it brand new, there's about £2,000 of extras added on as well."
He said as the bike is so heavy, a van would have been needed to transport it.
It was not driven away, as neighbours did not hear anything.
He added: "I've had it for about two years and I have never seen another one like it in the area.
"It's a special edition bike. I think it's been taken to be stripped down for parts.
"I just want to tell everyone to keep their things locked up, there are people out there who are ruining lives."
If anyone has seen the bike they should call 07508 354048.
