The Simpsons, hippies, and the cast of Peter Pan were all in attendance as the class of 2018 celebrated their last day in school.
Shrek, Mary Poppins, cheerleaders, Power Rangers, Tracy Beaker and the Spice Girls were also fancy dress themes for the Year 13 students at Colchester County High School for Girls.
Every year the students don fancy dress for their final day of lessons before beginning their study leave.
The fancy dress party is a day for the girls to take a break from exam preparation.
The students said it had been a brilliant day, but they also felt sad to leave behind friends.
Headteacher Gillian Marshall said: “This has been an outstanding year group who have made a really positive contribution to the school throughout their time with us. We wish them every success in the future.”
