POLICE have released CCTV of two people involved in a raid which saw tens of thousands of pounds worth of handbags stolen from a high-end store.
The pair used a sledgehammer to break the front glass of Fenwick before stealing 25 Mulberry, 1 DKNY and two Hill and Friends handbags.
The burglary took place in the High Street store in the early hours of this morning.
In total, the items are worth tens of thousands of pounds.
Initially, officers believed a vehicle was in convoy with the motorbikes but they no longer believe that was the case.
The mopeds left the scene towards Maidenburgh Street and the Dutch Quarter.
Anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage is asked to contact Colchester CID quoting incident 79 of 17/04 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
