A ROARSOME time was had by a bunch of lucky youngsters who got to tee off at a new golf attraction before anyone else.
The 20 children won a Gazette competition to be VIPs at the new Mighty Claws Adventure Golf course at Playgolf Colchester on Saturday.
They were also allowed to bring their siblings along to the £1million attraction which will open to the wider public at 10am this Saturday.
The 18-hole course, complete with a flaming fort, is home to 2.4 metre tall moving dinosaurs including herds of Velociraptors and a rampaging T-Rex.
Julie Saleh, who is the marketing manager at Playgolf Colchester based in Bakers Lane, Lexden, said: “The children and their families had a fantastic time teeing off at the new course.
“They also met Nat Luurtsema, the author whose book, The Mighty Claws Storm A Fortress, the course is based on and who also did a special reading.”
Mighty Claws Adventure Golf, founded and created by Allan Saud, will be open seven days a week from 10am to dusk.
Entry costs are £9.50 for adults, £6.50 for a child and there is a 15 per cent discount for a family of four.
