POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about a stabbing.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in the early hours of Sunday in Colchester High Street.
Police believe a screwdriver was used in the attack.
A spokesman for Essex Police said the incident happened after an altercation.
His injuries were initially described as life-threatening but police say he is now stable but still in a serious condition.
Anyone with information about the identity of the man pictured or witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Colchester CID on 101, quoting incident 151 of March 18.
Information can also be given to Crimestoppers completely anonymously on 0800 555 111.
