A GUITAR worth thousands of pounds was stolen from a music shop in Colchester. 

At around 4pm on Tuesday, February 20, a man and woman entered Peach Guitars in Wyncolls Road together.

They bought something with cash and then headed to the upper floor of the shop, where the theft took place.

A police spokesman said: "The man took a Brazilian Mccarty 594 from the wall and removed its tag. The guitar, which is worth thousands of pounds, was then concealed in the woman’s long coat as they left the store.

"We’d like to speak to the man and woman in this image about the incident - do you recognise them?"
