I RECENTLY read Cause’s “Small is Beautiful” report, which clearly shows 24,000 homes at West Tey is too big to succeed.

There are numerous reasons why West Tey won’t succeed, but the prime reason is that councils’ costings are way off the mark.

This, if allowed to go ahead, will mean that at least for the next three generations to come, or even more, will be in hock and having to pay, through the nose and through taxes, for the mistakes this generation is making by allowing West Tey to go ahead.

I’ve noticed that the three MPs whose constituencies and constituents will be affected -, i.e. Ms Patel, Mr Jenkin and Mr Quince - have been extremely quiet on this subject. Why? one could ask oneself.

They were certainly extremely vociferous when it came to Brexit, so, why aren’t they at least showing, even if they don’t mean it, respect and support to those who voice extreme concerns regarding this ludicrous, over-priced and unsustainable West Tey proposal?

Do our elected representatives not drive along the A120, and surrounding villages, and witness all the say “No to West Tey” signs erected by residents?

Were these three MP’s not elected to represent their constituents’ views?

Do you not think it time that Ms Patel, Mr Jenkin and Mr Quince jumped down, from sitting on the fence for so long, and told their constituents which way they intend this project to go...forward, or be dropped altogether.

They all have “influence” when it is a subject in which they are interested, but, at the moment, they are not telling the residents in their constituencies whether they are “for” or “against” this monumental local disaster of this century.

I, for one, should be very interested to hear their views.
