A PARADE of shops has been sold for an undisclosed fee.
Last month, the Gazette revealed Mercantile House, in Sir Isaac’s Walk, and Centurion House, which fronts St John’s Street, were on the market for £2 million.
It was due to go to auction on Tuesday, February 6, but was sold prior to the date.

On the St John’s Street side, the property is home to popular steak restaurant Bella Pais, Divas hair salon and Coral bookmakers, while well-known high street stores Trespass, Noa Noa and Timpson front into Sir Isaac’s Walk.
A brochure on auctioneers Allsop’s website told prospective buyers the upper floor, which is office space, has “potential” to be converted into flats.
Previous owners, Rockspring, took an annual rental income of £196,082 from both building, with only one vacant unit.
It is not known what impact the sale would have on the existing tenants, although the particulars of sale state many of the rents are on long-term agreements.
The identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.
