MUMPRENEUR personal trainers are making it easier for parents to regain their athleticism by launching their first child-friendly fitness studio.
Natasha Harvey, 27, and Jerry-Ann Cottie,30, celebrated the beginning of their new venture with a fun but gruelling exerciseathon.
Parents had the option to bring their children along to Empress Studio, in Davey Close, where they were given a sample of high intensity impact training, kettlebell workouts, zumba and Hive Trive, a class for youngsters to encourage movement and develop motor skills.
Mum-of-two Natasha said: “For me, taking my kids to childcare while I exercised would have been completely unaffordable.
“Our classes are on a drop-in, no-book basis, which is really important when you’re looking after little ones.”
Natasha, who used to run HIITFit Colchester, taught Jerry-Ann in her class 18 months ago.
Six months back the friends decided to become business partners as they were both looking to start something new.
Jerry-Ann said: “We’re very much about building a supportive community where everyone feels welcome and a part of something special.
“We’ve all become great friends, are growing together and becoming stronger, all the while having a great network of people around.”
