A MAN is in life threatening condition after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The ambulance service was called to D'arcy Road in Colchester at 11.10am yesterday.
A spokesman said there were reports a man had collapsed and was not breathing.
They said: "An ambulance crew, ambulance officer, rapid response vehicle and air ambulance from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were dispatched.
"They treated the man who was in cardiac arrest. Following treatment at the scene, the patient was resuscitated and was taken by land ambulance to Colchester General Hospital in a life-threatening condition."
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was called and landed in Middlewick Range.
A spokesman said: "We went to assist the ambulance service with a male patient medical emergency.
"Teams worked together on scene. The patient was transferred to the emergency department for ongoing treatment."
