THE following roads are set to close over the coming weeks in north Essex.

Delays will be likely for all of them and some diversion routes will be in place.

Tomorrow, Dobbies Lane, off Old London Road, Marks Tey, is shut for hedge cutting prior to machine surfacing works.

Bromans Lane, East Mersea, will remain closed until February 22 and Peache Road, Colchester, near Old Heath Recreation Ground, should re-open from February 27.

On February 20, Hall Road in Copford shuts, and School Road will close on March 2 between 9am and 5.30pm.

Drivers who would usually access Jupes Hill in Dedham will need to go along Manningtree Road towards Crown Street on February 23.

The road will close for hedge cutting so expect delays.

Essex County Council's resurfacing at Rectory Lane, Abberton, will close the road on February 22.

Across Colchester, these roads will shut from Monday, February 26: Gilberd Road, Scarletts Road (both 9am until 5.30pm), Gurdon Road and Dyers Road both for two days.

Between 9am and 5.30pm, Artillery Street shuts on February 27.

New Park Street will close from February 28 until March 1, also for the same length of time.
