A CYCLIST was treated for injuries following a collision with a car in Colchester.

The incident involved a Peugeot van and a cyclist, who was treated by paramedics for arm injuries.

The ambulance service were called at 11.15am to Greenstead Road, near the railway crossing, at the junction with Hythe Station Road.

A man, believed to be in his late teens, was conscious and breathing but taken to Colchester General Hospital.

Police were called shortly after. 

A 37-year-old man from Woodbridge, Suffolk, was reported for careless driving.
