A SERIOUS crash in Maldon has blocked a road.
Maypole Road was blocked by the accident, north of Langford Road.
The incident, a three car crash, happened shortly before 7am.
Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were on scene responsding to the incident.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We received a call at 6.44am to a road traffic collision on Maypole Road, Maldon.
"Two ambulances attended and treated two patients who were taken to Broomfield Hospital.
"Their conditions are unknown."

A police spokesman added: "We were called shortly after 6.40am today, Thursday January 18, with reports of a collision in Maypole Road, Maldon, involving a Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and a van.
"A man aged in his 60s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed until about 1pm while the road was cleared.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
