A WOMAN who died from multiple stab wounds on Saturday has been named as Suzanne Brown by police.

Officers were called to a home in Braintree shortly before 12.20am after being contacted with concerns for the welfare of the occupants.

Suzanne Brown, 33, of Mountbatten Court, in Mountbatten Road, was found unconscious and had suffered stab wounds.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “Sadly she died at the scene, despite the efforts of officers and the ambulance service.

“A post mortem examination found the preliminary cause of her death was stab wounds.”

Jake Neate, 36, unemployed, of Mountbatten Court has been charged with her murder.

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, December 18).

Tributes have been paid by Ms Brown's family.

Her family said: “It is with deep sadness that we say our beautiful daughter Suzanne Brown was tragically taken from us on December 16. 

“She was a dearly loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and auntie. 
“We ask as a family to be left in peace to grieve.”
