GLOBAL music icons Simple Minds and the Pretenders are set to perform in Colchester’s Castle Park as part of a summer of music.

It will be the first time since Live Aid in 1985 that Simple Minds, known for their 1985 hit Don’t You, and the Chrissie Hynde-led Pretenders have graced the stage together.

They will be supported by Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall, who is best known for her 2004 hits Suddenly I See and Other Side of the World, as part of the Grandslam2018 tour.

The trio will appear on stage on Sunday, August 26.

February 2018 marks the release of Simple Minds’ new album Walk Between Worlds, which is available for pre-order, while the Pretenders launched a special edition of Alone this year.
