PUPILS at two schools got a surprise visit from some of the cast from this year's Princes Theatre pantomime in Clacton.

Towie’s Dan Osborne (Gaston) was joined by Ian Summers (Dame Dolly Doughnut), Holly Harcourt (Belle) and Daniel Noah (French Franc) who are appearing in Beauty and the Beast.

There was plenty of cheering and booing in the school assemblies at Sir Martin Frobisher Academy and then later at Burrsville Infant Academy.

The children had no idea who their surprise guests were going to be until they took to the stage accompanied by Buddy, the Princes Theatre mascot.

It took no time at all to get the pupils into the panto spirit with songs and slapstick for when they go to a special school performance next week.

“The children were really up for it and I am expecting even more participation when they come along to the school performances,” said Dan.

“They certainly know how to enjoy themselves and hopefully they will have a great time at the Princes.”

Beauty and the Beast runs from December 9 to January 1. Tickets are available from the Princes Theatre Box Office on 01255 686633 or at princestheatre.co.uk.
