HALSTEAD’S top horticulturalists, chefs and gardeners have been honoured during an end of year exhibition.
The town’s horticultural society hosted its annual Late Chrysanthemum and Vegetable Show at the newly refurbished Queen’s Hall.
The show saw as many as many as 120 exhibitions entered by 43 different groups and individuals.
There were also several children’s classes as well, including a best Guy Fawkes exhibit which was won by the Halstead Brownies group.
Other winners throughout the day included Linda Owens, who was awarded the most points by judges during the day, and Rowland Free who claimed trophies in the Chrysanthemums and Best Bloom in Show classes respectively.
Secretary, Jayne Castle, said: “The society were pleased to stage another good show with all the exhibits being of a very high quality.”
Halstead is world famous for its horticultural standards.
