RAIL bosses are reminding passengers they are able to travel to London at weekends this winter and can also pick up great discounts on fares.

Greater Anglia bosses have confirmed there are no planned engineering works this Saturday, the weekend of November 11 and 12 or November 25 and 26 on the line between Colchester and London.

A full service is also expected to run on December 2, December 9 and 10 and December 16 and 17.

Travellers can also pick up a number of deals such as Duo where two travellers can pick up their second ticket for half price, Group Save which can see a number of passengers on the train together save a third.

There are also options for children as old as 15 in a party to purchase tickets for £2 when buying at the station and a Plus Bus option for travellers using more public transport when they get to their destination.

Offers can also be bought for London attractions in conjunction with train tickets.

Greater Anglia have also confirmed even on the weekends when there are disruption they will still get all passengers to London, even if part of the journey is via a replacement bus, and it is still likely to be cheaper than driving.
