How the Lightship Way store in Hythe would look
A SUPERMARKET says it is still committed to opening a new store in Colchester.
Sainsbury’s was granted planning permission to open at B&Q, in Lightship Way, Hythe, last year.
However, work has yet to start on the site and B&Q is still trading at the store.
It is expected to find a new location in the town before Sainsbury’s moves in.
A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: “We are discussing the next steps with B&Q which occupy the site.
“We will update the community as we progress.”
