THE anguished family of dad missing for six months say they cannot rest until they know where he is.

Norfolk Constabulary have halted the search for Nigel Kedar, of St Osyth, who was last seen at 9.30am on April 4, two days after an evening out in Norwich.

CCTV showed the 5ft 11 tall man, wearing dark coloured trousers and a lighter long-sleeved shirt, walking southbound along the A140 corridor through Dickleburgh, in Norfolk, after leaving a Co-op supermarket in Long Stratton.

Close family friend Donna Artis, 42, says the trail has gone “completely dead”.

She said: “The police have said until Nigel gets in touch or the worst happens and his body is found, then they can’t do anything more.

“If he’s gone away on his own accord, he’s also entitled to his privacy, but there’s no indication of that.

“There’s been no movement on his bank accounts, nobody has had contact with him, and that’s far and wide.

“The family hasn’t got the money to mount a bigger campaign to search for him.”

The family has always maintained his disappearance is out of character because of his 14-year-old son.

Nigel’s son was the “lynchpin” of his life, Donna, of Brightlingsea, explained.

“He’s really soldiered on. I’ve never seen that courage in someone his age. He gives us the strength to keep going.

“It’s also difficult for his mum because she’s now become a single parent. Although the couple wasn’t together, they had a really good relationship.”

Police searches of the area, coupled with the family’s efforts and two TV appearances, have failed to bring up any leads.

Motorists with dash cam footage are still being asked to recheck their cameras.

Donna added: “He’s so missed and loved, and we can’t rest until we know something.

“What we’d like is to remind people of the time he went missing and ask them to try and remember what they were doing around the Easter bank holiday, and whether they saw anybody on that route."

Anyone with information should call Norfolk Constabulary immediately on 999.
