Chelmsford woman, Jenna Westlake, went on the Jeremy Kyle show to speak about her "controlling" ex-partner who murdered her mother and battered her father.

She told the story of how she met her ex-partner, Craig Bird, 33, who she met when she was only 17 and later had two children with.

Speaking on the Jeremy Kyle show on Wednesday, Westlake told of how he became increasingly controlling.

The 26-year-old said: "After our son was born that's when things really started to change."

"It was subtle at first. You didn't really notice it, it was things like he'd control what I wear, how much makeup I wore, who I spoke to, when I spoke to them.

"And slowly but surely, he started taking me away from everybody, my family, my friends, I didn't go out."

They had an on/off relationship which eventually ended for good after their second child was born.

Jenna entered into a new relationship and the only contact she had with Bird was when came to visit his children.

But on Sunday April 17 2016, Bird murdered Colleen Westlake, 48, and brutally attacked her husband, Victor.

Jenna, who now has four children, said: "I hate him. I hate him so much.

"I hope they forget that he's there and leave him to die because it's what he deserves."
