THOUSANDS of people flocked to the village of Fordham to enjoy the delights of the popular annual vehicle show.

The playing field off of Mill Road played host to the show with an estimated 3,000 people taking in the sights.

Visitors were treated to a host of different vehicles including classic rally cars, buses, lorries and tractors.

The Harley Davidson motorbike range proved popular whilst the Allis-Chalmers claimed the prestigious award of Best Vehicle.

Event organiser Louise Pfander admitted a change in venue appeared to work to the show’s advantage.

“It was definitely our best year.

“We had to move fields but it was better than we expected.

“I want to thank all of the committee members, sponsors and volunteers who did a sterling job and helped run a brilliant event.”

She added: “I think we’ll need to make sure it’s held in the same place again next year.

“Either that, or an even bigger field might be needed because this year has shown that the bigger the show, the better it is for everyone.”
