A SPECIAL music night will be held as part of Frinton Summer Theatre.

The event will feature Frinton favourites The Jazz Slayers and Dot’s Funky Orchestra Experience.

It will take place at Frinton Lawn Tennis Club, in Holland Road, on Sunday, from 7pm until 11pm.

Ed Max, from Frinton Summer Theatre, said: “This is the fourth year we have run a music night as part of the summer theatre.

“We always provide really interesting, niche, quality performers - it’s not your usual pub singers.

“We’ve had exceptional performers in past years, such as the Errol Linton Blues Band, “This year we will be moving to Frinton Lawn Tennis Club as it is a bigger venue – we think it will work well there.

“This year we have The Jazz Slayers, who have done a few gigs around Frinton over the years. They play a lovely mix of jazz, rock and swing in their own inimitable style.

“We also have Dot’s Funky Orchestra Experience, who specialise in 70s soul and dance hits. It is done in such a way that everyone can enjoy it.

“Lots of people like to dance to the old hits - and love to hear them live.

“This is the fourth music night and each one has been an amazing hit – and this one will be no exception.”

Tickets cost £15 and are available from Frinton Lawn Tennis Club, the box office at the McGrigor Hall in Frinton or by calling 01255 676656 or online at frintonsummertheatre.org.
