A SCHOOL dressed in blue, white and red to celebrate Bastille Day.
Langenhoe Community Primary School hosted a French day on Friday, which saw and children and staff enjoyed a French lunch.
They were also able to buy French pastries provided by the school cook and the MFL Workshop set up a mock French market.
MFL Workshop provides pupils and adults with an opportunity to practice languages through role play.
Karine Walklett, MFL leader at the school, in Bracken Way, said: “I am very pleased with the outcome, it has had a positive impact on the students as I noticed the less active or shy members of the class were interacting and using their language skills.
“It felt like a realistic market with French music for the whole ambiance.
“I am really passionate about inspiring children and adults to speak other languages.
“It was such a great day.”
The children said they gained a lot of confidence and loved dressing up and ordering food from the market.
