A FUNDRAISING event was held in June at the Museum of Power in aid of St. Helena Hospice.
The event held on June 24 saw two singers with a buffet, food of which was donated by Tesco in Maldon and Witham and the Crusty Loaf in Tiptree.
Tescos in Witham and Maldon donated the buffet food along with The Crusty Loaf in Tiptree. The Zen clinic in Colchester, SGS Ltd, Waldegraves Holiday Park, Five Lakes, Mrs Salisbury's Famous Tea Rooms, The Fish on The Quay and others donated raffle and auction prises.
Christine Roy, one of the organisers, said: "It was a great night, we amazingly raised £3,155, and we are planning on repeating the event next year.
"A big thank you to everyone that bought a ticket and supported us."
