A MAN has been flown to hospital in a serious condition after falling from a roof.
The ambulance service was called to East Road in East Mersea at about 1pm yesterday.
They sent two rapid response vehicles, and ambulance crew, a hazardous area response team and the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "The patient, a man believed to be in his 30s, was treated at the scene for chest injuries.
"He was sedated and taken via air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in a serious condition."
Police were also made aware of the incident and alerted the ambulance service.
