A HOSPITAL became a sea of yellow as fundraisers worked to raise awareness of the difficulty of living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Fundraiser Angie Bruns, who is a nurse at Oaks Hospital, was inspired to organise a special event to raise cash for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Her husband Kevin struggles with the debilitating and life-limiting condition, which affects suffers in different ways.
Common indicators include a reduced lung function and difficulty with digestion.
Wear Yellow Day featured a slideshow tribute to Angie's friends who suffer from the condition, as well as games, a raffle, cake and a face painter.
Staff and visitors were encouraged to wear yellow, the official colour of the Trust.
"There were lots of staff getting involved and lots of visitors, it was a really busy day," said Angie.
"We had a Great Yellow Bake Off with lots of really good submissions.
"We were originally hoping to raise £500, but have now hit £1,555.
"We had speech bubbles up on the walls - I had asked people to tell me what Cystic Fibrosis means to them to include.
"There was really positive feedback to this and I feel we raised a lot of awareness."
