HUNDREDS attended a classic car show at Layer Marney Tower.
The tower hosted its annual vintage car show, a family favourite, on one of the hottest days of the year.
Despite the scorching sun, petrol heads enjoyed the array of pre-1973 cars and motorbikes and there was an eye-catching kite flying demonstration.
The cafe, tower and gift shop were also open for families to enjoy.
Nicholas Charrington, from Layer Marney Tower, said: “It was a success but on a modest scale as the weather was so hot, we have been running this event for many years.
“There were some really nice cars from an old Ford Escort to a Mustang.
“There were picnics everywhere.”
The classic car show is one of the tower’s most popular family events, and staff were pleased to see such a good turn-out despite the heat.
There was also a vintage stall in the courtyard and an art exhibition in the long gallery.
