A MEDIEVAL fete is set to take place in the gardens of a grand manor house.

Revellers will descend on Feeringbury Manor, in Coggeshall Road, Feering, on Saturday for the annual event.

There will be performances by the Thameside Mummers, archery demonstrations by Fellowshop of the Dragon and Eden Falconry displays.

Kids can have a go at making headdresses as well as swords and shields.

The best dressed child will also win a prize in the fancy dress competition.

Market stalls and bouncy castles complete the line-up of festivities which has something for everything.

All of the events take place across the popular gardens, that are part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Food and drink company's, including Tiptree Jam will be providing refreshments and selling their wares.

Free parking is available on site during the event times of 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

Admission costs £3 for adults and is free for kids, with all of the proceeds going to All Saints' Church in Feering.
