CARE home staff held a charity garden fete in memory of a much-loved colleague who died aged 53.
Sabu Matthew, a support worker at Colne House in Earls Colne, was found unconscious in his car outside the Station Road home in November 2015. He suffered a bleed on the brain and did not regain consciousness.
A charity garden fete was held in his memory at the care home on May 27.
The event was to help raise money for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, which has a base in Earls Colne.
The day included a range of traditional fete games, as well as cake, craft and balloon making stalls.
Stephen Pullinger, from Kingsley Healthcare, came down to lend a hand.
He said: “It went really well, it started with a downpour but that soon cleared up and we had about 200 people attend the event.”
A total of £713 was raised for the air ambulance.
