HUNDREDS of tourists were brought into Harwich as the first cruise ship of the season docked.
Harwich Society volunteers were on hand to offer local advice and assistance to cruise ship passengers on Tuesday.
Members of the Harwich Society Guide Panel were also ready and waiting to take visitors on walking tour of the historic old town.
The Harwich Society opened all visitor attractions to the public and the flocks of passengers took full advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the town’s heritage during their stop off.
Colin Farnell, Harwich Society chairman, said: “It is on days like this that the Harwich Society shows our wonderful town off to its full advantage and our volunteers thoroughly enjoyed doing so. There were visitors from a large number of countries and they all went away delighted by their experience.”
