BUSINESSES in Colchester came together for a weekend of dancing and food.
The Trinity Street Festival took place on throughout Sunday, with businesses including Tymperleys and the GO4 Market Cafe taking part.
There were Flamenco dancers from London-based Flamenco y Danza, a dog show, a barbecue, and a cake sale.
Alice Charrington, who runs Tymperleys cafe and helped to organise the event, said more than 1,000 people packed into the historic street.
She said: “It was a fabulous day and the sun shone.
“It has been buzzing right from the beginning.
“We represent all of the independent businesses along Trinity Street and we work together to bring people down our street.
“It’s about raising our profile and boasting about how wonderful our street is.”
Such is its beauty, Trinity Street was selected by chocolate giant Cadbury’s for part of a marketing campaign last year.
The street appeared in an online advert which allowed users to walk up and down the street. which was bedecked in the company’s world famous purple.
