THE family of a man killed in a terror attack at a concert in 2015 are sending their support to people affected by the incident in Manchester.

Nick Alexander, 35, from Colchester but born in Weeley, was killed in the attack on the Bataclan venue in Paris when a gunman opened fire while he was selling merchandise at a concert.

Following the attack at the Manchester Arena where 22 people have died after a homemade bomb went off, the family of Mr Alexander have released a statement throught the Nick Alexander Memorial Trust - a charity set up in his name to provide music equipment for groups in need.

The statement said: "We at the Nick Alexander Memorial Trust are unspeakably saddened by the events at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester last night.

"It is unfathomable that more young lives have been lost as a result of a targeted attack on a music venue.

"Every night across the world concert-goers stand side by side to experience the joy that music brings them and we must continue to stand united with them in the face of this tragic event.

"We send our heartfelt support and love to the families, friends and loved ones of those affected.

"We are by your side."
