CHILDREN at a pre-school in Braintree were excited by the arrival of some baby chicks.
Little Me Pre-school in East Street has been looking after eggs for the week and they have finally hatched.
Lisa Smith, who runs the pre-school, said: "It has been a super exciting week at Little Me with the arrival of the much anticipated chick eggs.
"Over the course of the week we have looked after the eggs in an incubator and had the privilege of watching the chickens hatch one by one.
"The staff and Children have been nurturing our newest additions very well and it has been a joy to watch the children engage with them."
The children have been researching how to care for the chickens and linking their learning to their life cycle topic about animals.
