A TALENTED teenager is set to perform in front of thousands of people across the country with stars from West End musicals.

Holly Cooper- Keeble will be entertaining crowds over the summer as a member of top musical theatre, song and dance troupe West End Kids.

The 14-year-old will be performing alongside the casts of London’s top West End shows.

Over the next few months the troupe will be appearing in events, including the Chelsea Flower Show, West End LIVE, in Trafalgar Square in London, and Concours of Elegance, in Hampton Court Palace.

Holly, of Douglas Road, Dovercourt,who attends the Harwich and Dovercourt High School, said she was thrilled to have the chance to perform in the top troupe.

She said: “I’m particularly excited about performing at West End LIVE.

“It’s a huge event in Trafalgar Square which showcases all the West End shows.

“I can’t really believe in a few weeks I will be performing alongside the casts of West End shows in front of thousands of people.”

West End Kids is a 20-strong elite group based in central London, which provides a unique programme of on-the-job training for students.

The programme combines intensive weekend rehearsals with a busy performance schedule.

Martin Williams, West End Kids founder and artistic director, said: “Now in our 16th year, we are heading into our busiest summer ever.

“An 11th year at Europe’s largest musical theatre event, West End LIVE is a huge highlight and we’re delighted to be supporting Children In Need by making our first appearance at Carfest too”.

“Add Camp Bestival, Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace to the mix and the young singers and dancers of West End Kids will get to perform for tens of thousands of people over the next few months, which is hugely exciting and priceless experience for all of them.”

About two in 500 children who audition are successful in gaining a place into the troupe.

In the past the students have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, House of Lords, Savoy Hotel and Windsor Castle.
