ONE of Colchester's most popular bands are launching their album this weekend.

That's Rad Pitt who have been getting a lot of attention, locally and further afield, for their intricately constructed approach to heavy music, as well as their lively performances that sees them spend as much time in the crowd as on stage.

While their self titled first album set the tone for what was to come, second album, Pink, released tomorrow, sees them really capture the energy of their live shows.

The band, made-up of various members from such bands as Jornetta Stream, Gulls and Origami Noise, consists of Nick, Chris, Jim, Sean and Matt.

Thanks to local gig promoters, Paper Champion, the band will be marking the release with a headline show at Three Wise Monkey's in Colchester when joining them on a packed-put bill will be London post rock outfit, Lost In The Riots.

Also playing will be You Break, You Buy from London and last, but by no means least, local noise merchants Ghosts Of Men, who will be bringing riffs, old fashioned rocky sleaze as well as an entertaining live show.

It all kicks off tomorrow at 7.30pm on the top floor of Three Wise Monkeys, High Street, Colchester, when entry is £4 on the door.

Tickets are available in advance, priced £3, available on-line via www.threewisemonkeyscolchester.com
