THE family of a dad still missing after one month live in hope of his return and make an emotional TV appeal.

Nigel Kedar, of Clacton, was seen in Norwich on Sunday, April 2, before walking southbound along the A140 corridor through Dickleburgh, Norfolk, towards Ipswich, two days later.

CCTV footage showing Mr Kedar, 52, walking away from a Co-op supermarket in Long Stratton, Norfolk, is the last time he was sighted.

He withdrew £100 from an ATM and bought a bottle of water at about 6.30am.

Mr Kedar’s sister Diana Mays, 52, and brother Richard Kedar, took part in a press conference in the hope it will trigger people’s memories.

A dedicated dad, Mr Kedar missed his son’s 14th birthday, and his disappearance is still described as being out of character.

Gazette:

Growing concern - Nigel Kedar

Mrs Mays, of Colchester, said: “I half thought he would suddenly appear but if he could have, he would have done before now.

“We just want him back. I don’t know what to think anymore.

"He was last seen in Dickleburgh and hasn’t been in contact with anyone since, plus his phone has gone dead or been switched off, and he hasn’t taken any more money out.

“Any news is good if it helps the police put a picture together. Nothing has turned up from their searches along the A140, Nigel just seems to have disappeared into thin air.”

On April 2, the dad-of-one drove to Norwich for drinks with a friend and stayed overnight.

Officers from Norfolk Constabulary say the next day he visited Bethel Street police station, in Norwich, with concerns for someone else in the property.

He was then seen at 10am by the same officers before being reported missing that evening.

Police seized his car, which was without air in the tyres, because a friend wanted to prevent him from driving home inebriated.

Self-employed Builder Mr Kedar, who owns his business with a friend, called to say he would not be at work.

Mrs Mays added: “The worst is in the back of our minds, but you don’t want to think about it because then it could happen.

“We have to stay positive otherwise what’s the point in carrying on?

“My brother said he half expects him to turn up and say ‘what’s all the fuss about?’. I’d love him to do that.”

Police continue to investigate with specialist officers, including search advisors and assistance from the National Police Air Service.
