A CONSPIRACY to murder suspect woke up drunk in Colchester town centre before abusing Muslims, police officers and paramedics.

Polish decorator Wojciech Zykubek passed out in Culver Street West.

Concerned shoppers called for an ambulance and when he woke his crime spree began.

Richard Murrison, prosecuting, said: “Ambulance staff attempted to attend to him. He woke and made various inappropriate comments.”

The 42-year-old thrusted his groin at the women before making explicit sexual references about what he would do to them both.

Police were called and he started screaming “kill all Muslims”.

Mr Murrison continued: “This was 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon.

“Many members of the public were going about their business.”

Zykubek urinated in a bottle and dropped it in the ambulance, before later urinating in a police van on his way to custody.

When officers first arrived he tried to back away from the handcuffs and struggled so much he forced an officer to the ground, who suffered injuries to her face.

Zykubek admitted one count of causing religiously aggravated distress through threatening behaviour.

He admitted two counts of disorderly behaviour against each paramedic, one count of resisting arrest and one count of criminal damage, at Colchester Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The incident took place on February 26.

Mr Murrison told the court Zykubek is currently on police bail for conspiracy to murder, although no further details were revealed, and has a history of drink fuelled crime.

He was also wanted in Poland.

Paramedic Heidi MacAvoy, in a victim statement read to the court, said: “I have been in this job 32 years and make allowances for patients who are drunk but this male was disgusting and vile.

“I did not want to feel intimidated or threatened especially with sexualised gestures.”

Raph Piggott, mitigating, told the court he cannot remember the religious slur and claimed his client was unlucky with the damage charge.

He said: “The cells were closed at Colchester.

“He is taken to Clacton and cannot hold it in.”

Zykubek was given a 12 month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £300 compensation in total.
