A MAN was left horrified when a car crashed into his garden wall.

Kevin Mutlow, of Notley Green, was left with a significant amount of damage when a red Ford Fiesta ploughed into his wall after colliding with his neighbour’s black BMW 730D.

Essex Police attended the incident last Monday and the driver was reported for careless driving.

Mr Mutlow, 48, said: “He didn’t cut the corner at all and was well within the 20mph speed limit apparently.

“He hit the brand new 7 series BMW. The BMW was approaching junction to turn left from minor to major, faced by the Fiesta coming from the main road turning right major to minor.

“He took the side of the BMW out before ploughing into my wall.

“If that wall had come into the car could have been a different scenario for the driver and his partner.

“It could have been a lot worse, thankfully this time the driver and passenger were lucky, along with any pedestrians.”

According to Mr Mutlow, there were usually vehicles parked at the top of the junction, but it was clear on the day of the incident.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Police were called to reports of an RTC in Notley Green, Great Notley at around 6pm.

“A red Ford Fiesta had been in collision with a black BMW 730D and a wall. The driver of the Fiesta was reported for careless driving. No-one was injured.”
