FRIENDS have been fined after arguing with police when they were kicked out of a popular nightspot.
Chris Moulding, 39, and Tarik Munro, 21, had been asked to leave Liquor Lounge on Marine Parade East, Clacton, along with another man in the early hours of the morning on April 7.
The third man left peacefully, but Moulding and Munro began swearing at door staff and police.
Both invited officers to arrest them, which they then did.
The pair admitted being drunk and disorderly at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
Representing themselves, Moulding, of Pier Avenue, Clacton, said: “I’m terribly sorry.
“I was having a bad day and started drinking even though I shouldn’t when I am taking my medication.
“A lady in the bar had made a false accusation which is why we were told to leave and I took it personally.”
Munro, of Edith Road, Clacton, said: “I am sorry about my attitude.
“I had been drinking since 10.30am the previous day but it is not an excuse.”
Moulding was fined £40, whilst Munro was fined £50 because of a previous drunk and disorderly offence.
Both had to paid courts costs of £50 and a victim surcharge of £30.
