THE gritters will be out in force across north east Essex as we head for another freezing cold night.
The Met Office has not issued any weather warnings for ice, but has predicted temperatures will drop to as low as -2C overnight.
Roads in the north east of Essex will be gritted by Essex County Council workers early tomorrow morning.
Tonight's forecast on the Met Office website says: "Showers dying out this evening with skies clearing allowing a widespread frost to form.
"Some cloud will move into the north and west before dawn but all parts dry. Minimum temperature -2C."
It goes on to say temperatures will struggle to reach a peak of more than 9C tomorrow with most of the morning feeling more like 2C to 6C.
Essex Gritters will be salting our network in the north east of the County only, early tomorrow morning.
