A MOBILITY scooter rider was left injured after two men tried to rob her in an alleyway in Clacton.
The 54-year-old woman, from Clacton, was riding her mobility scooter down the alleyway next to Alton Park Primary School, in Windsor Avenue, when she was approached by two men.
The attempted robbery happened at about 7.30pm on Saturday, April 1, although police only released details of the incident this week.
A spokesman said: “The men blocked her path before attempting to steal her mobility scooter.
“The victim suffered minor injuries to her hands.
“One of the men was reported to be wearing a brown bomber style jacket and round glasses.”
