A GIANT banner could be hung from a building on a neighbouring street to advertise a town centre art gallery.
Firstsite has lodged an application to hang a sign measuring which would be more than four metres high and nearly two metres wide from 15 Queen Street in Colchester.
The sign would advertise the Lewis Garden gallery listing attractions and opening hours with an arrow pointing potential visitors towards it.
15 Queen Street is a creative community space which is run by Firstsite.
Colchester Council has the final say on whether the banner can be hung and a decision is expected by June 13.
