A LORRY driver who has admitted dangerous driving after a steam engine on the back of his truck fell onto a bus will be sentenced today.
Philip Last, 53, was driving his low loader in East Mersea Road in West Mersea, when the steam engine fell off the back, in September 2015.
Bus driver Michael Birch was left with life-threatening injuries including a protruding bowel.
Five other victims sustained extremely serious injuries.
Last from Great Yarmouth, pleaded guilty to six counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He will be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court this afternoon.
