FIREFIGHTERS were sent to a shop in Witham which was completely alight.
Two fire engines from Witham were called to Easton Road at about 1am this morning, Wednesday, April 12.
The fire took place near the train line.
When crews arrived at the scene they reported the whole building, which measured approximately 10 metres by five metres, was completely alight.
The fire was put out by 2:30am.
An investigation will take place to establish the cause of the fire.
UPDATE 2PM: Firefighters have said the cause of the fire is still unknown.
